Public Speaking

I provide a number of presentations for community education, administrative and clinical staff, patient families, nurses, social workers, case managers, elder law attorneys, medical staff and hands-on caregivers. (CEUs may be available for nurses, social workers and case managers.)


The following presentations are currently available free of charge. Presentations are 1 hour in length unless otherwise specified. AV requirements: I provide the laptop with presentation and HDMI cable to connect to screen provided by the host site. 

"When is a Unicorn Just a Horse?”

In this presentation, audience members will learn:

  • The fundamentals of Alzheimer’s from a neuropsychologist’s perspective
  • Testing basics in a neuropsychological evaluation

Neuropsychological Assessment

In this presentation the audience members will learn:

  • The basics of dementias, when a neuropsychological evaluation is indicated, and the answers provided by an assessment


This is a general presentation that can be tailored for the specific audience groups.


What Should Elder Law Attorneys Know About Neuropsychological Assessments?

In this presentation, audience members will learn:

  • What are the factors involved in the determination of decisional abilities from a psychological perspective

In this presentation audience members will learn:

  • The nature of behaviors in dementia sufferers
  • Ethical considerations for communicating for de-escalation
